Forget the Ghost Chili

08/07/2009

(Before I get going on this post, I need to give a shout out to my friend, Nick Hansen, for kindly pointing this product out to me.)

They come in some of the coolest bottles I’ve ever seen, they are some of the rarest and most limited hot sauces and Blairs_16_Millionextracts in the world… and they are officially the hottest foods on the face of the planet.

Now, I know I said that the ghost chili had a world record… but in truth that record only pertained to the hottest pepper in the world… not the hottest food. So, what could possibly be hotter than the legendary “Ghost Chili”? Why don’t we ask people who actually have eaten it:

Dave Said:

“As an authority on this hot sauce stuff.. I ain’t even gonna fuck with this. It’s pure chemical capascain, it’ll kill you. Don’t eat a crystal of this, it will burn a hole in your tongue.. This isn’t an additive, and I eat 6am all the time. This stuff is just WRONG.. BUY SOME!!!!! Ask my friend one-eyed joe, who was the victim of someone sneezing while the coke vial of this stuff was open… I know $200 for a milligram of powder seems expensive, but if you ever need to kill someone, you’ll have this on hand.”

Jonney Habenaroseed said:

Blairs_2AM_3AM_Set“This stuff is not Hot Sauce it is pure flakes of chemical capascain. Thats the same chemical used in pepper sprays and in some military weapons as well. But this is even hotter its 100% pure, not watered down like pepper sprays. Because its a chemical it dosent disolve well in water based liquids, so to use it as a cooking ingedient the best thing to do is add a few crystals (1 or 2 ) to teaspoon of vodka. Then mix the disolved crystals to a dish your cooking…..1-2 crystals will add plenty of heat to a pot of chilli.”

And these are just the guys warning about the heat… what about the people who actually ended up in the hospital eating this stuff:

Milo said:

“I bought some of this and I put three flecks in a large bowl of chili. Of course my mouth felt like it was going to dissolve and my eyes were watering, but then the pain hit my stomach. I felt this intense burning then I started shitting large amounts of blood. Right when this happened my eyes started pouring with tears and then I started vomiting at first it was chili, but then I started vomiting blood also. My girlfriend woke me up when she got home about 2 hours from when I first went into the bathroom. I woke up on the floor covered in blood, shit, and vomit. I was rushed to the hospital and at the time I really didn’t even remember what had happened. Apprently I tore something in the lining of my stomach and I have been on a restricted diet ever since. All I can say is be careful with this it really can kill you.”

Yeah, he actually started to bleed internally. And no, Milo didn’t tear anything. This stuff literally burned a hole in his stomach lining.

So, what is this stuff?

It’s called Blair’s 16 Million reserve and these testimonies are actually product reviews on a website that specifically sells hot sauces, relishes, and extracts: www.sweatnspice.com.

And you probably guessed it, the 16 million stands for it’s rating on the Scoville meter. It is literally 16 times hotter than the “Ghost Chili”.

Blair’s, who makes the fatal reserve, specializes in rare and expensive hot sauces that have become sought after collectors items. In addition to their incredible heat levels, these sauces also come in imported containers with customFirecracker_blue and unique wax lids. The 16 Million Reserve sells for $310 for a 1 oz bottle.

Sound insane… well, re-read the above testimonies and you’ll remember that you are getting the hottest and rarest pepper extract in the universe.

So if you’re ever in the hospital… do me a favor and see if anyone is there for consuming a Blair’s product.

Again, you can see the line-up of insane Blair products, in addition to their halarious consumer reviews here:

That’s sick, lol, I don’t even like taco bell’s mild sauce. Never under-estimate nature.

Actually, this stuff isn’t ‘natural’ or from nature at all.
Pure capascainis man-made, and is impossible to find in nature in a crystallized or liquid form, it’s like saying pure Uranium in a condensed form is from nature.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I only got my information from a couple of articles and thought it was interesting. I’ll try to find that mistake and clear it up. Thanks.
